NOTE: Biography of Jack as related to the Hebrew Orphan's Asylum is indexed and summarized online at http://www.worldcat.org/oclc/43578712. According to that entry, he was working at the Hebrew Orphans Asylum from 1917 through 1938. By 1940, he is living with sister and his occupation is Writer (fiction). The original documents at the western reserve historical society could resolve some inconsistencies between death and census records and the biography.
